These great double-sided earrings are true examples of fine Nepali craft traditions. The center button- representing the wheel of life- is a lovely example of 'repousse', a traditional jewelry technique of hammering metal into a mold and hand chasing the details. the dangles are hand cast and represent the spokes of the wheel and the paths to enlightenment (and the obstacles!) Pearls symbolize wisdom through the lesson of irritation. All that, and they still are fun and swingy. One of a kind from our 2007 samples.
