The paper used to make this decorative tile comes from the bark of a sustainably harvested Himalayan shrub called lokta. The tile comes with it's own lokta paper-board easel for table top display. The tile also has a string hanger at the back so it can be hung on a wall. The historical Buddha, or Enlightened One, was born in 563 B.C. in Nepal. Through profound meditation he attained enlightenment or Nirvana. His teachings of these realizations are known as the Dharma.
