The paper used to make this decorative tile comes from the bark of a sustainably harvested Himalayan shrub called lokta. The tile comes with it's own lokta paper-board easel for table top display. The tile also has a string hanger at the back so it can be hung on a wall. This tile features a Lung-ta or Windhorse, named for the mystical horse on prayer flags who carries the prayers to the universe. Hanging prayer flags is thought to dispel danger and promote good fortune. The five flag colors represent the five elements Ò Blue/earth, White/water, Red/fire, Saffron/space, and Green/wind.
