Original Year of Tibet posters! This collectible 11x17 poster is hand screen printed on heavy recycled paper. The Year of Tibet featured an exciting nation-wide series of cultural events celebrating Tibet, spearheaded by actor Richard Gere and Tibet House NY. Festivities included performances, sacred music and dance and sand mandalas by Tibetan monks; museums and galleries hosted special exhibits. His Holiness the Dalai Lama participated in a special teaching tour. Tibet Collection hosted a limited edition of Losel-ling dolls, crafted by Tibetan monks. The dolls are authentic representions of characters from all walks of life in Tibet. Losel-ling dolls represented a colorful array of religous figures, government officials and peoples of various Tibetan regions. The figures graced the American Museum of Natural History and were featured in the famous jewelry widows at Tiffanys on 5th ave in New York City. Limited edition of 200 posters.
